Tigers Face Opening Day Trip To Aston Villa

It’s a game that has already been selected for live coverage by Sky Sports, and will be played at Villa Park with a 5.30pm kick-off.

Leonid Slutsky’s first home game as Head Coach comes a week later on Saturday 12th August when Burton Albion are the visitors to the KCOM Stadium (KO 3pm), the clash representing a first ever competitive meeting between the two sides.

The Tigers are on home soil again three days later when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday 15th August (KO 7.45pm) before a trip to the Capital to play Queens Park Rangers on Saturday 19th August (KO 3pm).

A break in the league action comes with the second round of the newly-named Carabao Cup on Tuesday 22nd/Wednesday 23rd August, before the opening month of fixtures comes to an end with a home game against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday 26th August (KO 3pm).

The Christmas and New Year period will see the Tigers face four fixtures in ten days, starting with a trip to Elland Road to face Yorkshire rivals Leeds United on Saturday 23rd December. A home game against Derby County will provide the Boxing Day entertainment, with Slutsky’s men at home again on Saturday 30th December when they host Fulham. New Year’s Day will see a trip over the Pennines to take on Bolton Wanderers.

The final fortnight of the season sees the Tigers head to Bristol City on Saturday 21st April before the final home game of the campaign brings Cardiff City to the KCOM Stadium. The season comes to an end on Saturday 6th May with a visit to Brentford (KO 12.30pm).
